NORFOLK, Va (press release) – A new statewide ranking from FishingBooker, a global platform for booking fishing trips, revealed that the New Orleans region is home to four of the top Louisiana Fishing Spots for 2025.

“Louisiana continues to be one of the strongest fishing states in the country, and the New Orleans region consistently punches above its weight,” said Vukan Simic, founder & CEO of FishingBooker. “What we see in the numbers is a blend of incredibly experienced captains, healthy fisheries, and anglers who come back year after year; that combination is hard to match.”

Based on data from over 100,000 fishing trips, the study evaluated destinations on angler satisfaction, captain reputation and booking activity.

As a result, New Orleans (#1), Lafitte (#2), St. Bernard (#3) and Venice (#4) are at the top of Louisiana’s fishing scene.
