Rules and Regulations
Who may enter and eligibility:
Photographers ages 18 and over-except for individuals affiliated with Renaissance Publishing, L.L.C., including employees, interns, volunteers and their immediate families (children, siblings and spouses) and others living in their households-are eligible. Renaissance Publishing will determine winners' eligibility.
Cropped photos are eligible in all categories. We do not accept digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered photos. Minor adjustments, including spotting, dodging and burning, contrast; and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents, are acceptable for all six categories. If our judges see that a photographer has obviously altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to disqualify it.
How to enter:
Please UPLOAD photos at the bottom of this form.
We do not accept photographs submitted through the mail.
High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible.
Complete a separate form for each photo submitted. Photographs must be in a .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format. Files submitted may not be larger than 2,024k (2Mb). Images should be high resolution, 300 dpi.
Photographs must have been shot by the entrant within the past three (3) years.
Photographs that have won any other contests or have been published in magazines and newspapers (except online) are not eligible. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright are not eligible.
The winners' guidelines
The winning photos of the Louisiana Life Photo Contest will be featured as a "Louisiana Photo of the Month" on LouisianaLife.com. All entrants understand that the winning photos, featured in "Louisiana Photo of the Month" will be featured on the homepage and have a photographer's credit.
Winners and non-winners might also have the chance to see their photos in print within the magazine's editorial pages, advertising and promotional material. For photographs used in editorial pages and advertising within a Renaissance Publishing, LLC publication, the entrant will have a photographer's credit.

I hereby consent to and authorize the use and reproduction, in print or electronic format by Renaissance Publishing, LLC or anyone authorized by Renaissance Publishing, LLC, of any and all photographs which have been submitted to this contest for any publicity, advertising or editorial.. All images -- electronic, negatives and positives, together with the prints, are owned by Renaissance Publishing, LLC. For 60 days after initial publication, there cannot be any use or other publication by the photographer without consent from Renaissance Publishing, LLC.
I hereby acknowledge that I am 18 years of age or older and have read and understood the terms of this release.
