Rockin’ 1000, the largest rock band in the world, will make its U.S. debut in New Orleans on Jan. 31, 2026.

“I’m Italian and I love music and rock music, and for me, the idea that something that started as a joke ten years ago brought me here to the birthplace of jazz music, to music in general, is a miracle,” said Fabio Zaffagnini, founder of Rockin’ 1000.

Rockin’ 1000 started in 2015 as a joke with friends in Zaffagnini’s small hometown in Italy.

“I live in a very tiny place in the middle of nowhere, and I wanted to invite Foo Fighters, my favorite band, to come and give a concert,” said Zaffagnini. “And to convince them, with some friends, we had gathered a thousand people to play one of their songs, ‘Learn to Fly,’ and the video of that performance went viral.”

Zaffagnini said the Foo Fighters actually came to his house a few months after and gave an incredible concert. “That’s how it all started,” said Zaffagnini.

From there, Zaffagnini birthed the idea to do “concerts in stadiums just like rockstars, even if there’s no rockstars involved, there’s just common people, playing music and being good at playing music.”

Now, nearly 11 years later, Zaffaginini will accomplish another dream, performing in the homeland of rock and roll, the United States.

“It’s natural that it would be here in New Orleans,” said Walt Leger III, president & CEO of New Orleans & Company.

“We’re a celebrated global destination, the birthplace of jazz, which has influenced so many forms of music, including rock and roll, and, ultimately, a community of intense joy, collaboration and celebration,” said Leger.

Rockin’ 1000 will include 1,000 international and local musicians at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Jan. 31, 2026.

Open spots for musicians and tickets for attendees are available now.
