Louisiana Artists Nominated for the Josie Music Awards
Chris Pryor and Amber Lynn Earn Josie Music Awards Song of the Year Nomination

DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (press release) – Louisiana country artists Chris Pryor and Amber Lynn have earned a nomination at the 2026 Josie Music Awards for their collaboration, “Let The Moonshine.”
According to its website, the Josie Music Awards are recognized as the largest and premier independent music awards globally and have a steadfast commitment to honoring independent artistry across all genres.
The song is nominated for Song of the Year – Country (Duo/Collaboration), placing the Louisiana recording among a select group of independent country releases receiving national recognition.
Written by longtime lead guitarist and songwriter Kenneth “Kenny” Kleinpeter, “Let The Moonshine” was released Nov. 21, 2025, under the name Chris Pryor featuring Amber Lynn.
The song pairs traditional country storytelling with the vocal chemistry Pryor and Lynn have developed through years of performing together. The nomination arrives as Pryor prepares to release his next single, “Nothing Without You,” on Aug. 14.
The heartfelt acoustic-country release will continue the momentum created by the award recognition and introduce listeners to the next chapter of Pryor’s original music.
“This nomination is bigger than just one song or one artist,” said Pryor. “It represents every person who helped bring ‘Let The Moonshine’ to life, everyone who has supported our music and every stage we have played across Louisiana. To have our song recognized on this level is an incredible honor.”
Amber Lynn added that the recognition is especially meaningful because the song reflects the work of their entire creative team and the support of listeners who have followed their music and live performances.
“We are extremely grateful and excited,” said Lynn. Kenny wrote a beautiful song, and Chris and I were proud to bring it to life together. We cannot thank our friends, families and listeners enough for standing behind us.”
The recording was produced by Chris Pryor, recorded and mixed by Brian Brignac at Brignac Lane Studios and mastered by Rob Smith at AudioSmith Studios.
Kleinpeter wrote the song and contributed lead guitar. Pryor and Lynn are also the featured vocalists of The Main Event, a Louisiana-based country and southern rock band.
Organizers share that The Main Event is known for its live performances, powerful vocals and a wide-ranging show featuring country, classic rock and southern rock favorites.
The Josie Music Awards nomination gives the group a new distinction.
“We see this nomination as the beginning of the next chapter,” said Pryor. We want to use the opportunity to introduce more people to our original music, represent Louisiana proudly and continue building something meaningful with The Main Event.”
“Let The Moonshine” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and other major digital music platforms.
