Lumiere, An Immersive Christmas Experience

“One Christmas Eve at Evergreen Mall”

When: Dec. 5, 6, 12 & 13 at 7 p.m. | Dec. 7 & 14 at 2 p.m.

Where: Back Alley Theatre, US Hwy 171 at LA 3015, Grand Cane, LA

Follow several intertwined stories in a Midwestern mall on the last day of shopping before Christmas. From a lovesick mall Santa to an overeager mall cop, from a pair of brainy misfit teenagers to a pair of battling actors in a production of “A Christmas Carol,” from a petulant student to a pair of newlyweds, wrap the joys and sorrows of the season into one festive performance.

 

Grand Cane Christmas Market & Parade

When: Dec. 6, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Market), 11 a.m. (Parade)

Where: 816 5th St., Grand Cane, LA

Shopping, food, craft vendors and a parade during the annual Christmas celebration in Grand Cane. The unique shops in this historic village are decorated for the holidays with many offering Christmas cookies, cider and other treats. See the latest ideas for decorating your home for the holidays and pick up gifts for family and friends.

 

Stonewall Christmas Parade

When: Dec. 6, 6:30 p.m.

Where: North DeSoto School Complex  – 2571 Hwy 171, Stonewall, LA

Stonewall’s 10th annual family-friendly, nighttime Christmas parade and fireworks show.

 

Logansport’s First Annual Breakfast with Santa

When: Dec. 13, 8 – 11 a.m.

Where: Logansport Community Center –113 3rd St., Logansport, LA

Enjoy photos, crafts, hot chocolate and pancakes at three available time slots (8-9, 9-10 and 10-11 a.m.). The cost is $5 per person, which includes the pancake breakfast. Christmas pajamas are encouraged.

 

Visit Santa Max at Bella Donna’s Boutique

When: Dec. 13, 10 a.m.  – 1 p.m.

Where: 8370 Hwy 171, Grand Cane, LA

Santa Max is not just any Santa. He is the resident Santa at Experience Lumiere. Enjoy a festive celebration with a professional photographer to capture your visit with Santa Max for free! The first 100 visitors through the door will receive a grand gift bag.

 

Mansfield Christmas Parade

When: Dec. 13, 2 p.m. (lineup at 11 a.m. at City Hall)

Where: 705 Polk St., Mansfield, LA

Organizers invite floats and performing/marching units of all ages, decorated classic and vintage automobiles, as well as motorcycle groups and individuals. No horses allowed. The route begins at the lineup area. Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third-place categories. For more information, call City Hall at (318) 872-0402.

 

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” Movie Night

When: Dec. 13, 6:25 – 8:05 p.m.

The Stonewall Christmas parade brings “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” Movie Night to the Salem Baptist Church.
