Exhibition Highlights WWII Fighter Aircraft Lithographs at Lake Charles City Hall

LAKE CHARLES, La (press release) – The City of Lake Charles opened a new exhibition titled WWII Fighter Aircraft Lithographs on Thursday, Oct. 3. This exhibition will be located on the 1st floor lobby of Lake Charles City Hall (326 Pujo St.) and on view to the public through Friday, Nov. 29.
The WWII Fighter Aircraft Lithographs exhibition consists of 17 aviation prints, each signed by WWII pilot veterans.
“Chennault applauds the efforts of the City to provide this venue to promote our history and culture. We would like to especially thank our friends and long-time residents, Jay and Brenda Delafield who graciously provided these pictures for all to see,” says Executive Director of Chennault International Airport Authority, Kevin Melton.
“This exhibit offers our community a rare opportunity to connect with the legacy of those who fought for our freedom. I thank the Delafields for providing these assets for the public to enjoy. I invite everyone to visit, reflect, and appreciate the rich heritage this exhibit brings to life,” stated Mayor Nic Hunter, City of Lake Charles.
These lithographs on display are part of a new initiative launched this year to display quarterly exhibits with local connections on the 1st-floor lobby of Lake Charles City Hall.
