Final Preparations Being Made for the 119th Louisiana State Fair in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La (press release) – The State Fair of Louisiana is making final preparations for the 119th Annual State Fair. Opening day is Oct. 30 and the fair will run through Nov 16 at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport.

Advance discount tickets for the State Fair are on sale now at Brookshires, Super 1 Foods, or Spring Markets or they can be purchased online at www.statefairoflouisiana.com. Discount tickets for the fair will be available to purchase through October 29.

Also, Advanced discount tickets for the LRCA Finals Rodeo are also on sale now at Greenwood Feed, Seed, and Hardware, Paul’s Farm and Garden Supply or at www.statefairoflouisiana.com through October 31.

This year’s fair will once again feature Talley Amusements as the official carnival provider, delivering thrilling rides and a lively midway experience. Guests can also look forward to:

Operating for 14 days, the Fair will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Daily hours are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission will remain free until 3 p.m. on weekdays, and parking is free throughout the entire run of the fair.
