THE CAP ON THE BOTTLE
The May/June 2009 issue was my introduction to your interesting and useful magazine. Now it’s one of those offered in the waiting room for my business office. Thanks for a good publication that shows off so many of Louisiana’s assets and blessings!

In your article “Louisiana Made,” you end the section on one of my personal favorites, TABASCO, with “…the sauce ends up in the world-famous bottle.” I know the article was focusing on food; however, you missed a chance to point out other related Louisiana-made products, such as the plastic cap on the TABASCO bottle, which is made in New Iberia –– not far from McIlhenny’s ––by the Acadiana Plastics Corp. I suspect other unique, creative packaging for these Louisiana foods is made here. So there’s another layer to thinking “Louisiana Made.”
