Louisiana Gained 11 New Millionaires on April 29 Powerball
BATON ROUGE (press release) – Louisiana made history on April 29 with one of the most remarkable Powerball drawings the state has ever seen. Eleven Louisiana Powerball players became millionaires in a single drawing, combining for $16 million in total winnings statewide.
Six $1 million Powerball match-5 winning tickets and five $2 million Powerball match-5 + Power Play tickets were sold across the state.
While the $143 million jackpot was claimed by tickets in Indiana and Kansas, Louisiana had plenty to celebrate on its own.
“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our 35th anniversary than with eleven of our players becoming millionaires in just one drawing! We are incredibly excited for all our big winners and look forward to meeting them!” said Lottery President Rose Hudson.
The winning numbers for the April 29 drawing were 03-19-35-51-67, and the red Powerball number was 15.

The Louisiana Lottery encourages all players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing to protect their claim. Winning tickets for draw-style games must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing date.
