Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame Announces 2024 Inductees

BATON ROUGE, La (press release) – Department of Public Safety & Corrections Secretary Jimmy LeBlanc and the Louisiana Prison Museum and Cultural Center are proud to announce the esteemed individuals selected for induction into the prestigious Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame. This year marks the 19th ceremony honoring those who have made significant contributions to the pursuit of justice in our state.
The 2024 Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame Inductees:
- The Honorable Kevin Cobb, Sheriff, Franklin Parish
- The Honorable Ron Johnson, Sheriff, Cameron Parish
- The Honorable Julie Jones, District Attorney, 39th Judicial District, Red River Parish
- The Honorable Jeffrey LeDuff, Chief of Police (Ret.), East Baton Rouge Parish
- The Honorable W. S. “Sandy” McCain, Warden, Raymond Laborde Correctional Center, Avoyelles Parish, Inducted Posthumously
- The Honorable Judge Scott Schlegel, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, Jefferson Parish
- The Honorable Clifford Strider, III, Assistant District Attorney, 10th Judicial District, Natchitoches Parish, and 37th Judicial District, Union Parish
- The Honorable Collis Temple, CEO, Harmony Center, Inc.
The inductees will be formally recognized at a banquet on Friday, June 7, at the Lod Cook Alumni Center at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Earlier that day, there will be a free, open to the public, ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Louisiana Prison Museum and Cultural Center on the grounds of Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.
