Louisiana is a diverse state with a range of terrain and communities. You can live in Louisiana and reside on a farm acres-wide, a bayou accessible only by boat, a French Quarter corner in a 500 sq ft studio apartment, a parade route in a shotgun house or the lakefront overlooking the world’s largest bridge over water.

And yet, there’s another area so far south that some might forget about it, their minds stopping at New Orleans.

Along the coast of Louisiana, nestled less than 30 miles East of Texas, lies Louisiana’s most-wishlisted Airbnb listing in Cameron, La.

Padre’s Oceanfront: Louisiana’s Most-Wishlisted Airbnb

In April, Airbnb unveiled its most-wishlisted listings in each state

The Channel Communications Lead at Airbnb, Ali Killam, shared with us that Padre’s Oceanfront, Louisiana’s most-wishlisted Airbnb, reflects a broader shift toward quieter, off-the-map coastal destinations where travelers can truly unplug.

Padre’s Oceanfront is on Little Florida Beach, located on the shoreline of the Peveto Woods Sanctuary, which is part of the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road.

According to Visit Lake Charles, the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road is one of 43 designated scenic byways in the U.S., stretching 180 miles.

Beyond the scenic, getaway feel of its surrounding nature, Louisiana’s most-wishlisted Airbnb offers even more. Highlights include:

  • 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen
  • Private backyard with BBQ grill
  • Beach access
  • Private balcony
  • Patio with outdoor shower
  • 4.96/5 star rating, with guests noting spaciousness
  • Licensed ATV / UTV drivers welcomed
  • RV hook-up spot as an add-on
  • 52 total amenities

“Airbnb’s most-wishlisted listings highlight the homes travelers are actively saving and planning trips around,” shared Killam. “What’s notable this year is how much interest is being driven by locations that feel personal and undiscovered.”

“In Louisiana, that shows up in destinations like Cameron, where the experience is as much about slowing down and connecting with the surroundings as it is about the stay itself,” shared Killam.
