Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York to Feature Louisiana Flavor as the 60-foot “Celebration Gator” Delights Parade Viewers

BATON ROUGE, La (press release) – For a second consecutive year, the Louisiana “Celebration Gator” will crawl the parade route of the 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday, Nov. 24. In 2021, coverage of Louisiana’s float in the annual parade reached nearly 1.5 billion people encouraging them to experience the culture, history, food and music that are uniquely Louisiana.
Riding aboard the float and performing this year is New Orleans native and Grammy winner Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Trombone Shorty won his first Grammy this year and recently released his latest album, “Lifted.”
