New Cornhole Tournament at Plaquemines Parish Fair

BURAS, La – The Plaquemines Parish Fair & Orange Festival returns this weekend, Dec. 5 – Dec. 7, with a new cornhole tournament and two other new events.
The fair, hosted at historic Fort Jackson, celebrates the agricultural heritage of Plaquemines Parish with food, live music, family activities and carnival rides.
New This Year
- Cornhole Tournament – Saturday, Dec. 6
- Register at 12 p.m., play begins at 1 p.m.
- $50 per team | Prizes for first and second places
- Visitor Welcome Room – Step inside the Old Guard and Prison Quarters to explore historic Orange Festival posters and 2025 ornaments. Posters available for purchase.
- Family Fun Inside the Fort – Children’s Revue, slides down Monkey Hill and interactive arts and educational activities hosted by LAYAYA and the YMCA.
