“Shades of Success” Calendar Honors Distinguished Women of Color

BATON ROUGE, La (press release) – V Squared Visuals is a group of African American journalists who launched their second visual calendar project, which honors the accomplishments of women of color, with Louisiana roots, from various professions.
The Shades of Success 2024 Calendar is now available for purchase. The 12 honorees will be further recognized at an awards banquet on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Drusilla’s Seafood Restaurant. Tickets for the banquet and calendars can be purchased here.
The 2024 honorees include Senior Vice President of Health Equity and Inclusion, Chief Diversity Officer of Woman’s Hospital, Renada W. Deschamp; Executive Director of The Bridge Center for Hope, Charlotte Claiborne; Pastor, Tonya McGill; Attorney, Anya Jones; Sales Director, Katrina Pitre; Executive Director of The Butterfly Society, Twahna Harris; Insurance Broker and Attorney, Alva Lemon; Project Analyst and Marketing Director, Cecily Holland; Denella Ri’chard, TV personality and producer; Attorney, Lebra Bias; Dr. Ashley Cesar, United States Army Major, and board certified adult psychiatrist; and Anne Arceneaux, Author, and Education TV Technology Specialist.
The African-American journalists behind V Squared Visuals are Valentina Wilson and Virnado Woods. V Squared Visuals will donate to their charity of choice for 2024, Women Working with Women Empowerment- 4WE. The idea behind this project is to give back to the community and the team felt this visual project is a great way to inspire younger generations; especially during Black History Month and Women’s History Month. A unique instructional tool, the calendar also gives children an opportunity to view the photos and read the biographies of living role models.
