The Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival Returns for 2026
A Weekend of Louisiana Seafood and Live Music in the Heart of the Bayou
JEAN LAFITTE, La. (press release) – The Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival returns May 29-31, offering a celebration that combines Louisiana seafood, live music and immersive bayou experiences all in one place.
The festival captures the culture, environment and spirit of the region at the Jean Lafitte Auditorium and Grounds (4953 City Park Dr.).
Set alongside the scenic Wetland Trace, a boardwalk through a 41-acre cypress swamp adjacent to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, the Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival invites guests to enjoy food, entertainment, kayak experiences, carnival rides, a nature trail and arts and crafts vendors.
Organizers share that the festival is known as one of the area’s premier events and places a strong emphasis on authentic Louisiana cuisine and an outstanding lineup of live music to create an unforgettable experience for residents and visitors alike.
“This is our community’s signature event,” said Jean Lafitte Mayor Yvette Crain. “It’s a celebration of who we are—our seafood, our music, and our culture. This year’s lineup, featuring artists like Craig Morgan, Todd O’Neil, Wayne Toups and Aaron Foret Band, really showcases the incredible talent we’re bringing to Lafitte. Year after year, the support from our community and surrounding areas continues to grow, and we’re proud to welcome everyone to experience what makes Lafitte so special.”
Festival-goers can enjoy a wide variety of fresh, locally prepared seafood dishes—from boiled, fried and grilled favorites to classic Louisiana cuisine—served alongside continuous live music throughout the weekend. From local favorites to nationally recognized acts, the main stage will feature performances that keep the energy high from day to night.
