Louisiana Cat Festival With a Cause in Mandeville

MANDEVILLE. La. – Big Sky Community Animal Resource and Education Services (CARES), a non-profit animal rescue organization and animal care provider, and Art for Cats’ Sake, an organization dedicated to raising awareness for feline health, will host The Louisiana Cat Festival in Mandeville on Saturday, June 27.
Big Sky CARES, located in Folsom, has more than a dozen programs to help keep animals out of shelters, including the Barn Cat Program, which pairs suitable cats with families or farms to live outdoors on their property.
Art for Cats’ Sake, based in New Orleans, has traveled across the country selling artwork and jewelry to further its cause while also providing veterinary care.
Continuing its commitment to caring for cats, both organizations will use proceeds from the Louisiana Cat Festival to support critically ill cats, make veterinary treatment more affordable for families and fuel research into feline diseases.
