Third Annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest in Baton Rouge
(Neighbor) Hood Fest announced talent and film lineup

BATON ROUGE (press release) – Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room Museum Foundation announced the talent, film lineup and sponsors for the third annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest, held Saturday, July 18, from 12 – 8 p.m. at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library (EBRPL) Main Library (7711 Goodwood Blvd.).
Musical talent includes Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor and the Listening Room All-Stars, including King Solomon, Ervin “Maestro” Foster, Jim Masters, Princess Teha and Dixie Rose. New to the festival are (Louisiana) Claude Hitt, David Comeaux and Rude. Returning acts are SmokeHouse Porter and the Gut Bucket Blues Band, Crossfire and Ms. Pressure.
Music video blocks from the 2025 Listening Room Film Festival are “Made In Louisiana” and “Listening Room Alumna.”
The film component this year focuses on travel, adventure and music industries in Louisiana. Filmmakers on site for Q&A’s include Oscar Tickle, who produced “The Search for ‘Swamp Cows’” and “The Secret Dark Side of Imported Shrimp,” and Charles Bush, who produced “Music Dreams, An American Story.
Sponsors include Lamar Advertising, EPRPL-Main Library, Blue Runner, WBRZ2+ and their affiliated stations, Visit Baton Rouge, Vernon Thomas, Esq., Frankie’s Dawg House, Joyful Jumps and Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room Museum Foundation.
The third annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest is family-friendly and free to the public. In addition to live music and films, it has a vendor’s village, food court, children’s play area and hot-dog-eating contest.
(Neighbor) Hood Fest Pre-Party
A pre-party will be held on Thursday, July 16, from 7 p.m. until midnight at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room, located at 2733 North St. Admission is $30 and includes a buffet. There will be a no-host bar.
