Louisiana Satsuma Vinaigrette Recipe

Ingredients
1 cup fresh satsuma juice
1/2 cup extra virgin oil
2 tbsp. Creole mustard
1 clove of minced garlic
1 Zest of lemon
1. Add all ingredients to a pint jar. Replace the lid.
2. Shake well until the dressing comes together. Makes a generous cup of dressing
Did You Know
Satsumas thrive in the Gulf Coast climate with the season peaking in late fall through mid-winter. The name “satsuma” comes from the Japanese province where they were first developed. Easy to peel, these little powerhouses are always popular additions to a menu or as a snack.
How To Season A Cast-Iron Skillet

Wash in warm water with soap. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil, shortening, or canola oil inside and outside of the pan.

Place a large baking sheet or aluminum foil on the bottom rack. Bake pan upside down at 350-450 degrees for one hour. Repeat 2-3 times.
