THIBODAUX (press release) – The Louisiana King Cake Festival announced the list of bakeries participating in the King Cake Competition, the highlight of the fest, and its panel of judges.

The festival, presented by the Lorio Foundation, will return to Downtown Thibodaux for its fourth annual celebration on Saturday, Jan. 31, with a parade, food, live music and king cake.

2026 Louisiana King Cake Festival Judges

This year, the Louisiana King Cake Festival will welcome Mayor of Thibodaux Kevin Clement, local actor Hick Cheramie, local historian and filmmaker Kyle Crosby, WVUE’S Shelby Latino, the Cajun Ninja Jason Derouen and many others as judges of the King Cake competition.

Judge for yourself: All tickets purchased come with five tasting tickets, which can be used to sample any of the 30 king cakes. Extra tasting tickets are available for purchase at the festival.
