Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health is Louisiana’s largest provider of comprehensive pediatric services, committed to offering exceptional care through a network of over 300 skilled pediatric providers from general pediatrics to specialty care.

In his role as President of Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health, Dr. Alston “Trey” Dunbar oversees the strategic and operational leadership of the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, its supporting pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists, and the statewide strategy for Children’s Health across the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. He also works closely with the system’s market-based leadership to advance this key service line connecting integrated care for children.

Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health is home to Baton Rouge’s only pediatric ICU and offers two pediatric Emergency Rooms, one in Acadiana and a level 2 trauma program in Baton Rouge. A dedicated critical care Transport Team travels throughout Louisiana and surrounding states to transfer medically fragile patients. Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital also boasts the state’s largest certified Child Life Specialist team, trained to make the hospital a less scary place for children and their families, and is one of eight St. Jude Affiliate Clinics in the country, bringing world-class cancer care close to home.
