The Brine Grand Opening at the Louisiana Boardwalk
Chef Gabriel Balderas Debuts New Contemporary Southern Concept, The Brine, in Bossier City
BOSSIER CITY, La. (press release) The Brine, a new contemporary Southern restaurant at the Louisiana Boardwalk, will celebrate its grand opening Friday, Oct. 2, 12-5 p.m.
Located along the riverfront and connected to The Picklr Bossier City, The Brine will bring dining, cocktails and a family-friendly gathering space to the Boardwalk’s mix of recreation and entertainment.
The Brine Brings Fresh Ingredients to the Boardwalk
The Brine is the newest concept from Chef Gabriel Balderas, chef and owner of Zuzul Coastal Cuisine and El Cabo Verde in Shreveport and Papalotl in Oaxaca, Mexico, where he was born.
The menu will focus on contemporary Southern cuisine with an emphasis on thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Balderas will incorporate produce from his own Nourishing Farms in northwest Louisiana throughout the menu.
The restaurant will also offer house-crafted cocktails made with fresh ingredients, along with a full espresso program.
“The Boardwalk is such a unique setting for our area,” said Balderas, chef and owner of The Brine. “You have the river, the bridge and so much happening around you. We want The Brine to be a place where people can come for great food and drinks, but also stay awhile and enjoy everything the Boardwalk has to offer.”
The Louisiana Boardwalk Experience
The experience extends beyond the restaurant. The restored Louisiana Boardwalk carousel will reopen with concessions, adding another attraction. Guests can grab dinner and drinks from The Brine before heading to the carousel, where children can ride and enjoy concessions nearby.
The Brine will also host live music, movie nights and other community events throughout the year.
